On February 2nd, 2020, Novak Djokovic somehow managed to defend his Australian Open crown in a five-setter against Dominic Thiem despite trailing behind two sets to one. It was also the last time I had a valid reason to utilize my annual Sony Liv subscription until a couple of days ago...

Released barely three weeks ago, this fascinating tale of greed and subsequent downfall is currently occupying the 16th spot in IMDB's list of Top Rated TV Shows of All Time!

And unlike the other ratings-related 'news' headlines one encounters these days, there's nothing scammish over here.

Every single person responsible for showcasing the pre-Internet era in a pre-liberalized India, when cordless phones were the rage and newspapers carried more news than ads, deserves all the accolades being bestowed aplenty from all quarters.

In fact, the lesser you know about the 'Amitabh Bachchan of Dalal Street' before watching this gorgeous adaptation of the book by Sucheta Dalal & Debashis Basu (available to read for free on Kindle Unlimited), the better.

Just watch his story right away on Sony Liv!!

Also, whoever is in charge of Sony India's content acquisition is a bloody genius! For earlier this week, they released yet another 'true crime' story of an unbelievable scandal...

...which chronologically picks up where 'Scam' leaves us gaping, but geographically half way across the globe in England. A sequel of sorts, about one of Britain's strangest crimes.

“In September 2001, Charles Ingram, a British Army major, went on the prime-time game show 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' and won the top prize, despite acting strangely at times, repeatedly switching answers.

The next day, he was accused of having cheated. Ingram’s wife, Diana, and Tecwen Whittock, a college professor, who sat among the potential other contestants when Ingram won, were said to have coughed at strategic times to give him the correct answers.” ~ Alex Marshall, The New York Times

Watch the three-part series now to find out whether Charles was guilty or innocent...

...and after watching the show, check out the complete original footage below to judge for yourself. (I repeat, only after watching the show - Spoilers Ahead!)

Whole episode.
The Craig David Question.

'Coughing' up ₹999 for an annual Sony Liv subscription is the best tip you could get for free today. Happy viewing!!
